Low's Mimi Parker passed away on Sunday, the Rock Hall induction ceremony was held on Saturday, and Jack White stars in a new Scorsese film
Hey everyone,
I want to ask everyone to get out and vote in Tuesday’s midterm elections if you haven’t already done so. Vote like your life and the lives of our children depend on it because they absolutely do. We cannot lose our democracy to the right-wing fascist nutjob assholes who want to cancel freedom. If we don’t see the blue wave we’re so desperately in need of, America is over. This is no joke. This is not a drill.
GET OUT AND VOTE!
Thank you for coming to my lecture. Now, on to the music news you came here for…
“Of all the things I’ve lost, I miss my mind the most.”

A couple of random thoughts:
First good lookin' out on getting people to vote. Every little bit helps-- especially in a state like this where One Party rule is very much on the ballot. It can all be a bit demoralizing.
On the plus side, several of my son's friends are eligible to vote for the first time, and there will be quite a few "excused absences" from class tomorrow as they exercise that right.
On a different note, Keith Higgons and Rob Janicke interviewed Chris Shinn for an episode of Abandoned Albums earlier this year. Not a whole lot of talking about his time in Live, but it's definitely a worthwhile listen. Shinn's an interesting dude.
